Middle School
Brenda Foster

Brenda is a 27-year veteran teacher. Her passion is in technology-integrated curriculum that involves students in multi-media and multi-disciplined projects. Brenda achieved National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist in 2001. Her File Cabinet includes teaching practices particularly related to technology-integrated curriculum.

We especially like Brenda’s “Creating a Classroom Newspaper” exercise. Students develop articles around classroom events, which are compiled into a newsletter distributed around the school and to parents each month. Start your own class newspaper by clicking Ways to Build a Classroom Community in her File Cabinet.
