This course prepares the practicing teachers in advanced technology standards and applications. Standards to be addressed through structured activities and assignments include the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T 2008). This graduate course has been created in partnership with Project Workforce, a federally funded initiative designed to provide instruction in contemporary teaching methods and strategies for teachers aspiring to leadership positions.

This graduate course helps K-12 teachers build 21st century teaching skills and share their best teaching ideas in an online professional learning community located at www.livinglibrary.us. Students use self-paced handbooks to learn how to reflect on practice and contribute their best lessons using fun, easy-to-use lesson-sharing templates. Course activities are aligned to contemporary professional learning community theory and new teacher induction research.
